FABULOUS FOUR-TONS • In World War II, Diamond T developed its G-509 four-ton truck as a short-wheelbase prime mover for the 155mm howitzer and for use by the Corps of Engineers, but the vehicle also served as the basis for dump trucks, open-cab cargo trucks, and wreckers.
