Malpas' latest erotic romance (after The Forbidden?, 2017) is firmly in the mold of Fifty Shades of Grey, including a magnetic mutual attraction, a superalpha billionaire hero who lives to spoil the heroine as long as she lets him tie her up, and long-buried scars that are healed by love. Izzy is self-aware enough to know she is not acting in her best interests, and Theo is irresistible enough that the reader understands why.
