      In "Run for It, " an overweight thirteen-year-old takes up running and enters a charity race in honor of his aunt, a cancer patient. "Windmill" concerns Kellys dismay at being transferred to a new softball team and having to deal with her mothers latest romance. The books will appeal to fans of lightweight sports fiction, despite thin characterizations, predictable plots, and flat dialogue.
